Overview

Over the a 12 month period, cloudfactory experienced a 25% drop in client retention primarily due to declining worker performance. This trend was particularly noticeable in projects that required high accuracy and fast turnaround times.

Problem

CloudFactory’s lack of visibility into workforce capacity and role assignments had resulted in overworked workers, underutilised resources, declining work quality and project delays.

Solution

For this hypothesis, I designed a Team Member Management solution offering a streamlined approach to workforce planning and management and shipped it working closely with PM and Eng team.

Impact
  • 60% reduction in time taken to manage members being assigned to projects and tasks each week. This shaved off 30+ mins each time, per task.
    • 100 tasks x 1 check per week
    • = 50 hours x 52 weeks
    • = 2,600 hours per year x minimum wage
    • = £29,000* estimated saving per year.
  • 20% reduced rework required, compared to the previous 6 months. This increased the margins.
